PARKERSBURG - The city was recently awarded $377,000 in state grant money for recycling and transportation. Last week, the city was awarded $300,000 in a transportation enhancement grant and $77,000 from the 2009 recycling assistance grant. The transportation enhancement grant is for Phase II of the Fifth Street enhancement project from Market Street to the Belpre bridge.
